The quartets card game “Sex in Berlin” was created out of the motivation to make sex-positivity more visible and stands for a loving, communicative and consensus-based interaction.
Berlin – a vibrant city, a stage for diversity and untamed creativity. With our quartet game, we want to celebrate and support these facets: the places and the people that make Berlin the capital of sex-positivity. This game combines sensual curiosity with a wink and invites you to playfully discover the erotic Berlin.
Sexuality is a natural part of being human. We want to break taboos, educate, inspire, entertain, de-stigmatize and make the beauty of the diverse sex-positive scene visible.
The quartets card game is also intended to provide a low-threshold introduction of sex-positivity. Each card is an invitation to reflect on the meaning of sex, body and gender in an urban context – in relation to the city, to others and to oneself.
HOW TO PLAY
Aim of a quartets card game: Collect as many quartets (4 cards of one category) as possible.
There are 9 categories (Workshops, Party, Between trees and bushes, Special activities, Shop, online Experience, Specials, Collective and Fun Spots). Each category has 7 sub-categories (e.g. time, adrenaline, events per month).
Preparation:
1. The cards are shuffled and distributed evenly to all players.
2. Keep your cards secret.
Procedure:
1. Ask another player for a card that you need (You must have at least one card of that category yourself.) If the person has at least one card of that category, you can ask for a sub-category of this card. After you choose the sub-category each of you tell the number from that sub-category. The person with the „better“ number gets the card of the other.
2. If the person you asked had to give you the card, you may continue to ask for another one.
3. If you had to give your card to the person you asked, it is that person’s turn.
4. Once you have 4 cards in a category, place them face up in front of you as a quartet.
End of game:
The game ends when all quartets have been placed.
The winner is the player who has collected the most quartets.
