Sex in Berlin: „Even vanilla is a kink“ – 19th Pornfilmfestival Berlin

In the 12th episode of Sex in Berlin podcast editors Amelie Gante and Ella de Fries discover the 19th Pornfilmfestival Berlin (PFF Berlin). Let’s be honest: Most people watch porn. And most people go to the cinema – at least once in a while. But why don’t we go to the cinema to watch porn there? Amelie and Ella try to find answers to this question by making their own experience at the opening night of the PFF and asking the guests, visitors and curators on scene why it is worth visiting the PFF Berlin.

The pioneering festival has a large and diverse selection of films that challenges societal norms, body politics and stereotypical constructions. Ella and Amelie talk about what it’s like to watch porn at the movies and try to find out what the visitors of the festival think about it. At some point they ended up discussing if we are all kinky in the end, even the vanilla ones… And Manuela Kay from the curatorial team tells them about the future visions of the festival.
